I’ve got this friend. Let’s call him Nate. He and I basically agree on where things need to go on most things. Take healthcare reform — We need something that solves cost, does not line health insurance company pockets with profit, and generally recognizes the costs of the uninsured . . . that, by the way, we’re already incurring. BUT he’s a pessimist about the chances of much of anything good ever being accomplished.
